M, G, & L Valentine's Pictures

I posted these pictures on my photography blog... BUT I'm afraid that in 3 weeks, let alone 3 years I might not remember which boy is which.  Right now they look totally different to me, but sometimes when I go back to a picture a few days, weeks, years after I question if I remember correctly.  These pictures are too cute to not initial each kid under it :)

The boys had so much fun with all the props I purchased for this shoot.  L especially LOVED throwing the rose petals up in the sky and loved it even more when Hubs threw them over top of him so they would land on him.  G's favorite thing of the shoot I think were the heart glasses.  M was enjoying loving on his brothers during the shoot.  There were so many great out takes of him kissing or squishing G or L.

Air Museum

I have so many posts that I need to write up and put pictures to... As I say at the beginning of each post, I have so many photos from clients that I need to get through before I'm comfortable with going through mine... and when I'm all caught up I think, Woooo computer break :)

I figured this would be a quick couple pictures to look through and post for ya :)

We went to the Air Museum over the weekend.  We have been having so much fun with the boys lately.  They have begun playing games, being interested in what we say, wanting to be involved in all (ok most) aspects of all we do.

G has been playing with his little toy plane for the last week or so.  The poor thing is totally falling apart.  The pup ate the things propellers forever ago and it doesn't have landing gear left, but G loves it.  When G is asleep and L is up he claims it as his own.  We try to get house/life stuff done on Saturdays when Hubs is home (since he's gone so many Saturdays) but we thought it would be so much more fun to actually do something other than naps and moving boxes and bringing laundry upstairs.

The boys were so excited on our drive there.  Thankfully it was only 5 minutes because they asked every half a minute if we were there yet.  When we walked in all three boys went in different directions.  M & G went right to the gift shop but at different ends, and L strutted along saying COOL, WOW, PLANE, SPACE SHUTTLE at every plane he saw.

My 4 handsome boys.  Hubs, M on the left, G on the right and L in the middle front.

I had the pleasure of following L around.  He screamed at every plane he saw.  He was so excited.

Hubs got to take the bigs around.  He was really enjoying reading different signs and names of planes to them.  He was surprised that they actually wanted to know what the signs said.

There was a little rocker plane that L (actually all 3 boys) got to sit on and rock.

There was even a helicopter that they were allowed to 'fly'.  (This is G)

Daddy got to 'fly' L around.  I had to crop the picture so you could get a good look at the smile on L's face.

So glad we decided to walk away from our Saturday chores to go do something different.  All the boys even got to bring home a little die-cast airplane from the museum.  They have been having so much fun with them the last few days.

A Day At Home

These 3 are getting so old so fast.  There's not much to say, just some pictures of my loves from today.

L was looking out the window watching a truck on the road.  Whoa!  Is what he was saying :)

M was a bit emotional today when he was building with his blocks.  He wanted to build a garage but didn't want to do it by himself.  He kept asking me to build it for him.  Of course I did... after I asked him to try on his own.

L loves to brush his hair.  He finds a comb or a brush and says hair, brush.  I say, Are you brushing your hair?  Yes he says.  He says yes SO perfectly!

He says so much so perfectly.  Here he is talking on his phone.  He's talking to Marsha.  Who is Marsha you ask... The Bigs were watching a show the other day about a race car named Roary.  One of the ladies that works on the tracks name is Marsha.  Another guy on the show talks to Marsha on a walkie talkie.  The Bigs spent an afternoon yelling Marsha, Marsha can you hear me... and whatever else they talked about with Marsha into their walkie talkies.  Now every time L picks up the phone he talks to Marsha... all while pacing.  Seriously SO cute!

The Bigs have been spending a lot of time with their Uncles old blocks.  Most of them are just old Jenga blocks but they have been having fun making tracks, jumps, garages, and churches.

M and L spent a little bit of time getting to know each other a little better today.

I know this isn't the best picture in the world but I'm thinking it's TOTALLY frame worthy!

While M & L were watching the truck out the window and jumping, talking and napping on Daddy's chair G was busy adding height to his garage.

He's getting some pretty good fine motor skills and surprises me with some of the things he's starting to construct.

L's 1st Hair Cut

I cut all my boys hair.  I remember the first time Hubs asked me to cut his hair.  I laughed in his face.  Literally.  He had just moved from MN to VA to go to the same school as me.  He went to the mall to get a haircut 2x and the next time he said, "Let's go buy a cutter, you can cut my hair."  SAY WHAT!! I've cut my brothers hair before and they ALL hated me for it.  Well Hubs said, "it's just hair, it will grow back."  Ever since I have been cutting his hair.  Then my older brothers and my younger brothers.  Then M & G.  Then when we moved to ND my brother in laws.  To people out here it's not a big deal, it's what you do.  Back home people were always saying, what really...?

Anyway.  With M & G we took them to get their 1st hair cut.  Hubs, at first didn't understand.  I think while the boys were getting their hair cuts he totally got it.  I wanted to watch the 1st cut.  Be in the moment.  Not be doing it.  It might sound silly.  But it's a right of passage right.  The first hair cut.

Of course I wanted to do the same with L.  Even more so actually.  L HAS HAIR!!  M & G did not, at least not enough to worry about doing it right.  Haha... they still don't have a lot of hair.  L, though, he has this great head of whispy thin gorgeous blonde hair.  Part of me just wanted to keep it growing forever.  Poor kid couldn't stand it poking his eyes anymore though.

L and Daddy before his cut.

What a sweet little boy.  He loved it.  He made the funniest faces and was so interested in checking himself out in the mirror.

Mama, L and Daddy after the hair cut.

One of my 1st friends since moving here is a wonderful hairdresser and we had the pleasure of entrusting her to cut L's hair for the 1st time.  I'm sure I will never measure up to her cuts, but hopefully I can figure out how to keep his hair a little longer and not the Daddy, M & G faux hawk style :)

MN Zoo Trip

It has been so long since I blogged.  I'm keeping busy growing my photography business.  I have been having several shoots a month.  I'm really kinda proud of myself.  From where I have come to where I can see myself going....it's pretty cool.

Anyway, I've been putting my family's pictures on hold to work on other peoples pictures.  I finally just took a folder out and decided to post them before fall turns into winter.  I still have some summer photos to post.

Hubs and I take turns with the camera when we are on little day trips.  I refuse to not be in some of the pictures.  So quite often I switch the camera onto automatic so Hubs can take pictures too.  He does a really good job when it's on manual, it just takes him a while and in a situation like this zoo he (and probably I) would have missed the pictures.

G in green and M in blue.

L loved EVERYTHING about the zoo!!

He talked to the fish for like 20 minutes.

The zoo had a playground that all the boys thoroughly enjoyed.

I love L's faces as he explores the slide and goes down all by himself.  I had to include all the pictures.

He had so much fun he had to do it again.

This time even less help was needed.

We had so much fun at the zoo.  We stayed at a hotel in the cities and had a blast at the pool, which included a water slide.  The big boys did such a great job swimming and went down the slide non stop. I will post those pictures (hopefully) soon.
