6 Months

Holy COW! The boys are 6 months. I CANNOT belive how fast this first half of the year has gone!

I totally DO NOT have time to post I am trying to prepare for Back to School Night, but I just HAVE to.

We had a great Well Check visit. The boys got a bunch of shot, OUCH! They are such strong cookies. Mic didn't cry until the 3rd (his last) and Gunnar didn't cry until the second. The doctor kept saying what great, happy babies they are. I was like YEA I KNOW ;0. HAHA

Gunnar weighed in at 18lbs 14oz (75%), 27 3/4 tall (85%) and Micaiah weighed in at 18lbs 2oz (70%), 27 1/4 tall (75%).

The doc said that they are growing perfectly. Again I was like, YEA I KNOW haha.

Here's a quick picture of the cuteness. It's not the best picture, but it's the only one I have on this memory stick. The bulk of this stick is of my students...like I said, I'm suppose to be preparing for Back to School Night.

The End

This was suppose to be posted on Monday, but it was taking forever to download pictures so....now that's it's Thursday...here's the post.

Oh tears are flowing! What a GREAT last day of maternity leave. Jon and I took the boys to the park. We do this quite often, but this was the first time we went on any of the equipment. I didn't bring my camera with me :( but we had Jons phone so some crumy shots were taken but at least I have some pictures!

LOVE

OH HOW I LOVE MY BABES!

Baby School

THEY... or should I say I SURVIVED!!

The boys have spent 2 days at day care. The first day was a short one. That made me happy. I found out that I didn't have to be at work until 9. We had a workshop so the hours were different. He even let us out early. I got out by 1:15. I was so happy that I was able to pick the boys up so early. Ugh. This day was so emotional. I brought the boys there and the infant room was SO loud. All of the babes were crying, moms and dads were dropping their babes off, it was just so overwhelming for me. If it was so overwhelming for me, can you imagine what it was like for my precious babes!?! After unpacking their bags I took them out of their car seats gave them big SQUEEZES and then placed them in their cribs. I was sooo happy that they didn't cry when I left. They snuggled their snuggle bear blankies and I left. I called twice during the day to see how they were doing. The teachers said they were great, but they didn't have enough milk and they only slept for a half hour the entire time they were there. When I got there M was in a completely waked out outfit. He went through 3, yup 3 outfits when he was there. He looked like such a funny little babe. When I picked them up I was more emotional then when I dropped them off. It was like, OH MY GOODNESS I haven't seen you all day!! BUT, we survived!

Day two was just as emotional! Maybe even more since I knew it was going to be a FULL day for me. I dropped the boys off at 8 and picked them up at 4:30. At work today we had meetings in the morning and during the afternoon we were left alone to continue getting our classrooms and 'stuff' ready. We were able to leave at 3:20 but I just had so much to do. At 4:00 I grabbed my stuff and said HA I'm not staying here anymore and I jetted to the baby school and picked up my babes. This time both boys went through ALL 3 extra outfits. Too funny! The daycare is using my cloth diapers and they still haven't learned how to put them on. They go on just like disposables but they need to be velcroed SUPER tight. They teachers haven't gotten the hang of squeezing my babes into them yet. Anyway, yes, we survived day 2 as well. It was still sad and overwhelming, BUT when we got home we did lots of kissing and hugging and loving. M stayed awake for the car ride and I was able to put him in his crib and he went right to sleep. G fell asleep in his car seat so I left him in there. Yesterday I tried taking him out and I had to hold him his entire nap. Today I didn't want to disturb him. I couldn't believe it, he slept 2 hours in his car seat in the dining room. They both woke up at 7 and we had some lovey dovey nursing time and then some super yummy cereal.

I was so lucky to have my Mommy come over today. She was hoping the boys would be awake when she got here. They weren't, which made me happy. She on the otherhand wasn't. Since they were sleeping she did some laundry, washed all of our baby school bottles, and kept me company. She really made my day. If she wasn't here I think I would have been moping on the couch feeling sorry for myself and the boys since I'm sending them to baby school. She kept me preoccupied, even though she said she was bored.
