Easter Morning

Happy Easter!! He is risen!

This morning the boys gave their Mama and Dada a GREAT Easter present. They slept until 9am! Isn't that CRAZY!?!

As great as it was sleeping in later than I can remember doing in a LONG time it really put our crazy day into a CRAZIER day! After doing our Easter morning activities, feeding and changing the boys, I only had 15 minutes to get ready for church. Of course I didn't set an alarm, come on now, I have two of them... guess not this morning.

When the boys woke up Daddy and I went into their room and changed their diapers. I told them that the Easter bunny came to visit. They were just SO excited.

Micaiah's basket.

Gunnar's basket.
Micaiah and Gunnar running to see what the Easter Bunny left.
I have never seen them walk so fast.
It looked like they were racing to the living room.
Gunnar arrived and found all this great stuff.

Micaiah was not too far behind.

Gunnar found Easter eggs hiding.
He didn't want to share them.
But that was ok, because Micaiah found some too.

Micaiah even found a HUGE one that Grandma and Grandpa Ronnevik sent them.

Micaiah was really excited about the bubbles.
And Mommys basket.
He tried to steal it.
He decided the bubbles were good enough.
We didn't even have to blow them, he just loved the foam that built up after shaking them.
You can't see the bubble bottle but it's there...being shaken.
See.
Gunnar found more eggs.
And eat them.
He was so excited.
More eggs.
He found out that they opened.

The boys were so cute all day with their Easter eggs.

I was a little disappointed that they didn't seem to care about the sheep that I made them. I know, what do I expect, they are only 1.
Haha.

Come back soon, I will post pictures of them all dressed up in their Easter clothes.

Easter Preparations!

I think baby girl Easter clothes are SO GORGEOUS. I mean they have bonnets, great shoes, lace, frills, dresses, oh my I could go on and on. They don't have awesome stuff like that for boys. I mean they have the little sweater vests and collared shirts, but that stuff is just so so. That and it's SO expensive. I know, I know the girl stuff is too...even more so I'm sure, because I would buy it ALL!

I decided to make my own Easter get ups for the boys. I made applique onesies and these great little bow ties.

One of my friends has this great little blog. One day when I was blog stalking her I came across another blog. It was at this blog where I found the bow tie tutorial.

Through the 2nd blog that I stalked I found these adorable lamb pillows that I decided I would try to make for the boys Easter baskets.

I decided to brand their rears with the boys initials so we could easily tell whose is whose. Not that we ever normally care, but I thought it would be nice for them to have something that is personally theirs.

Park Day Two

When we went to the first park we were so disappointed with how disgusting it was. It was so gross I was scared to let the boys walk around. So we decided to try out a different park...

This park was much nicer, but so crowded. We will definitely choose this one over the other one, but I think we are going to try another next time it is nice out... hopefully it will be nice out sometime soon!

This time Gunnar LOVED the swings! Every time we would go up he would squeal in delight. It was the cutest thing! Jon would push him higher and higher and his smile would just get bigger and bigger.

Micaiah enjoyed himself, but didn't seem as thrilled as the last time he swung.

Days at the Park

There has been about 2 days in April that have been nice. At least only two days during off work hours that have been nice. On those two days Jon and I took the boys to the park to play. This was the boys first time on the swings. They had a BLAST!!

Micaiah LOVED the swings. He was giving the camera such HUGE smiles. Gunnar really liked them as well. Maybe I just like Micaiah's pictures better because of the lighting.
