Peanut Butter Jelly Time

MOMMY, I WANT IT'S PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME!  Is one of the most heard sentences in our house.  My two guys LOVE peanut butter jelly time.  I use to be creative with lunches.  I use to have the boys try new things.  Hummus, crackers and cheese, lunch meats, salads, pasta with Alfredo sauce and chicken, there use to be a variety in our lunches.  Peanut butter jelly time is an everyday event.

Since we have a daily peanut butter jelly time we buy HUGE peanut butter tubs and DOUBLE jelly tubs.  AND they don't last long.  :)  or is :/ necessary.  I guess it depends on whether or not you like peanut butter jelly time.

YES, we call it peanut butter jelly time.  We even sing peanut butter jelly, peanut butter jelly, peanut butter jelly and a baseball bat.

I decided to be brave the other day and allow the boys to make their own peanut butter jelly sandwiches.

G is in the red bib (no bib here yet)

M is in the blue bib

I made little cups of peanut butter and jelly for the boys to scoop from and spread on their bread.

G did a pretty good job trying to put his peanut butter and jelly on his bread.

Until he realized he could eat just the jelly.

M didn't even try to spread any on his bread.  He went straight to eating it off the knife.

I had to finish making the sandwiches for the boys.  I was surprised that they allowed me and weren't upset that I took their jelly cups away from them before they ate it all.

Yummm!  Crusts and all.

Happy peanut butter jelly time all!!
