A & C Photo Shoot

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing one of my girlfriends A and her son C.

I brought them to a park that is near my home.  Hubs and I love to go to that park with the boys and every time we go I try to search out new places to use as backdrops.

I had so much fun with A and C.  It was a blast capturing an almost teenager be an (as my girlfriend said) "energetic boy".

I'm assuming my next photo shoot won't be until this little babe is born.  It was a tad difficult laying on the ground, squatting, climbing rocks and hills all while being so incredibly pregnant.  BUT I am SO glad I did!  I think these came out nice and I hope she enjoys them.

Basketball

Since Christmas I told Hubs that I wanted to get the boys a basketball set for their birthday.  We never ended up getting it for their birthday.  We decided to go with a different gift.  I still really wanted to get the basketball set, but figured we could wait until Spring time.

My mom has known how much I wanted to get M & G a basketball set.  When she came for a little visit she came with gifts.

Before the boys woke up from their nap Hubs brought the crib down from the nursery so we could sand it and paint it.  We got half of the sanding done before they woke up.  Neither of us wanted to continue sanding while the boys were playing basketball, we were having SO much fun watching them.

37 Weeks

This little man is going to be here before I know it.  I still have so much to do.  I am a list maker, but lately have been doing a horrible job at making them.  I figured I would make it here.  That way I won't loose it, leave it in the car, throw it away, or something else.

I am sure there are so many other things that should be on this list that I just can't think of right now.  I will come back and add if I need to.

I can't wait to see things get crossed off.

~ Wash little mans clothes.  (What are your opinions ... since I have two of most items in newborn, do I wash both and put both away, do I wash one set and put the other back in the attic, do I was both and hang one set and put the other set in drawers?)

~ Put little mans clothes away.

~ Wash blankets and put away.

~ Raise the crib.

~ Make "Now I lay me down to sleep" plaque/picture/wooden sign for over the crib.

~ Go through 'newborn' toys, clean and put away.

~ Get baby book (which will probably never be touched seeing as M&G's have barely been touched).

~ Get light blue fabric to wrap around Little Mans crib (to cover the chew marks from M&G)

~ Bring car seat and base down from attic.

~ Bring swing down from attic.

~ Get a rocking chair.

~ Get a DRYER!  ... YUP my dryer broke today (well technically last night but I wasn't home and found out today)

~ Wash little mans diapers.

~ Buy NB disposable diapers.

~ Organize LM's wall cubbies.

~ Go through M&G's toys in the living room and dining room.  Make room for a pack n play and swing... HAVE NO IDEA HOW THAT WILL WORK!

~ Set up pack n play with the bassinet feature and changing table feature.  I didn't get to use the changing table feature with the boys so this will be fun.

~ Make some freezer meals (doubt that will happen)

~ Make and freeze some cookies.  YUM

~ Make a sandbox for M&G (I know that's not for little man... but I want it done before he gets here)

Thomas Playtime

Lately I have been having a really hard time getting the boys to play.  We've been watching a lot of shows (many more than I would like).  I am a TV junkie and I don't want my boys to be that.  My goal is for them to only watch 30mins a day.  Maybe a movie here or there with Mommy and Daddy. Honestly I'd rather them watch no TV all day.

However, they are so stinking cute that I can't say no.  I mean why in the world would I turn down a chance to snuggle on the couch with my boys.  I'm also having a hard time playing with them.  Not only and I not a player, but it's now officially uncomfortable to sit on the floor with one of them on my lap.  So I have been doing a lot of sitting on the couch instead.  I don't do much house work when the boys are awake.  When they are awake I am all about them.  The computer is off the phone is on a high shelf but I just haven't been able to play with them.

It was so neat.  Today I didn't have to play with them, but they sure did entertain me.  After most meals I wipe the boys hands clean.  They always want the 'clean' when I am all done.  I let them have the towels and then they go about the living room and dining room and clean anything and everything.  After lunch as they were cleaning G saw his Thomas tent behind the dining room hutch.  I don't pull it out often, but when I do they have a BLAST!

Here is M inside the tent yelling G see me?  See me?  G was on the outside of the tent looking in and pushing the tent saying Choo Choo.

G sitting in the tent.

After playing in the tent the boys are always VERY thirsty and hot.

G with a full mouth of water.

Can I just say how much I love the color of their hair.  It's like strawberry blonde, but brown, but white blonde,... well I really have no idea how to describe the color.  I just LOVE it!

M chugging from his water bottle.

Look at how rosy M's cheeks and nose are.  I'm not sure if you can tell.  I was a bad mama and yesterday when I took them to the farm for an Easter play day I didn't even think about putting sun block on them.  It was 60 degrees, but beautifully sunny.  Surprisingly I didn't even think about having their hats.  That won't happen again (hopefully), I am now aware that it is spring and that my little Norwegian boys need to be protected!

Maternity Photo Shoot OVERLOAD!

Hubs and I decided to try to take our own maternity photos.  We knew it would be a challenge, but we also knew we would have fun.  I said last night that some came out alright and others down right horrible.

Sadly we didn't get very many with the boys in the frame.  The ones I did have with the boys in the frame were incredibly overexposed :( .  We will try to do some more with them soon... that's if I don't go into labor after all of the climbing, hiking, running I did yesterday to get these pictures :)

The above pictures I put my camera on my tiny tripod.  Then I made my brother sit/stand/lay where I was planning on being.  I set all of the settings on the camera and then took his spot on the blanket.  I used my awesome little remote that Hubs got me for Christmas and tried to capture some pictures of just me.  I would have let Hubs do these (after explicit directions) but I left my big tripod in the car and he 'ran' to get it for me.  He was taking so long that I decided I would call him.  He didn't listen to a word I said and instead of grabbing the tripod from the floor of the passenger side he drove all the way home (only 2 minutes).  So while waiting my mom and brothers played with the boys and I tired to take my own pictures.

For all of the 'family' pictures I had someone (Hubs, my mom, or one of my brothers) sit/stand where I was going to be.  I put all the settings on the camera and then one of them clicked the button.

After torturing M & G with taking their pictures (that didn't even turn out) we let them play on the playground.  My mom and brothers stayed with them while Hubs and I went off on our own to get some couple photos.

I wouldn't suggest that any of you super pregnant ladies climb a tree.... unless you have a He-Man of a husband like mine that can help you up and down.  It was quite a scene.  I don't actually have a picture to show how high off the ground I was.  The last one gives you an idea... but not exact.  To get down I stepped on Hubs shoulders and basically monkey climbed down him.  I got him so incredibly filthy.  I couldn't stop laughing and couldn't stop apologizing all at the same time.  I know I'm not a light one... good thing for his muscles.

After shooting at our park we brought the boys home and I quick changed.  My mom stayed with the boys and fed them dinner.  She even got some snuggle time on the couch.

Then we moved on to my new favorite spot.  This is the same spot I took some of my brothers senior pictures.  Hubs and I discussed whether it would a 'safe' or if we should find somewhere else to go.  It's a climb to get to this spot.  We decided that we would try it and hope I didn't get stuck somewhere.  haha

Thanks Hubs for putting up with my craziness!  I know I'm a bit short when it comes to taking our family pictures.  I had fun though... and I'm pretty sure you did too!  You did a great job!
