Pool Time

The boys have the best view of the yard from their room. When they wake up in the morning I open their curtains and they run over to the window to look out. They have these super cute stool/chairs that they received from Jon's boss when they were first born. They have been sitting waiting for them to be able to use them. They are finally strong enough, or is it brave enough, or maybe fearless enough to use the stools.

They use the changing table that is positioned right next to the stools to hold onto while they pull themselves up onto the step. Once they are up there comfortable enough they point out the window and start to get extremely giddy and yell poooul. There is a nice little pool right outside their bedroom window. They use to look at it and say baal (ball). It only took a day or two for them to learn the word for that gigantic ball is pool.

Jon decided that every night he gets home he wants to take the boys in the pool. Sadly the water is TOO cold for his wimp of a wife so we don't go in as often as he would like. Actually I haven't gone in once yet.

He did take the boys in once and is yearning to take them in again. Like I said, it's way too cold for me so I decided to blow up and fill a baby pool this morning so that by the time hubs gets home from work we can take the boys in there. He's just going to laugh at me, but that's ok :)

Ort Farm

Since Monday was my first day as a Stay at Home Mama I decided to take the boys out on a little day trip to Ort Farm. Well, actually, I had to bring my work computer back to work and I decided to stop by a coworkers (wow I mean ex-coworkers) farm to visit. We had a nice lunch together and then we went outside to visit the animals.

Before we saw the animals the boys explored the yard. They found a house that was just the right size for them.

After taking a bunch of pictures with their cute little shark hats I realized that they weren't at the beach, they were at the farm. I could not keep taking pictures with those hats on. I was thankful that the sun went behind the clouds for a few minutes. I think I need to invest in some super cute straw hats for moments just like these :)

There was a bridge in the front yard. The boys LOVED walking up and down the little hill. Each time they got to the edge they would turn around and walk the bridge again.

Each time they stepped off and back on they looked so grown up. I can't believe they were able to make those steps. They did have a few soft headers, but all in all they did a great job on the bridge.

Then it was time to wonder over to the animals.

The boys were so cute. They were shrieking in delight. The first animal they saw was a duck.

At first it was a tip toe to get to the ducks. The boys were a little nervous, but once they got there they had NO FEAR.

Goat :)

The boys kept sticking their fingers in the cages. Which made Mama a bit nervous. I didn't want an animal to think that cute little finger was a yummy wiggly worm.

BUT of course their favorite thing was the rocks! Every time we go anywhere they pick up handfuls of rocks. Those handfuls normally go in their mouths. YUCK! They didn't do too bad on this day. I only had to say NO MOUTH about 20 times. That's not bad.

Gunnar seemed to really like this goat. The goat seemed to really like Gunnar. He even let Gunnar touch his nose.

When Gunnar got board with the goat he turned around and began to walk away. The goat was not very happy with this. Gunnar didn't notice but the goat started to ram the fence. I am going with the assumption that the goat LOVED Gunnar and didn't want him to leave and not that he was mad at Gunnar for touching him. My friend said she has NEVER seen him do that before. Sheesh :/

OH the cow. The cow made me scream. I was leaning over Mic telling him NO MOUTH and picking the rock out from under his tongue. When he finally dropped it I stood back up and turned around and there the cow was. He appeared out of no where. Freaked me right out.

The boys really seemed to have a blast. When we were all done I got them in the car, took out a wipe and tried to clean them up just a bit. WOW were they dirty. I got them home and they even took a nice nap for me. Trust me after running this way scooping one up and running that way to scoop the other one up on a 85+ degree day over and over again I was THRILLED that they took their afternoon nap!

Chocolate and Peanut Butter

The hubs LOVES chocolate and peanut butter. I was making a chocolate cake for a 'cake order' I have and I had some left over batter so I made a bunch of cupcakes with it. I of course froze the cupcakes. Incase I needed them later. You know, if someone asked us to go to a party or if someone asked me for a cupcake order, I would have them. There was NO way I was going to be able to make any more cakes or cupcakes or cookies for that matter until school was out. I would have done it, but the hubs banned me from baking until I was done with work.

Being the nice wife I am :) hehe I did keep a few cupcakes out for hubs and for my brothers that just got home from Hillcrest. For Jon's I put on homemade peanut butter cream cheese frosting and for Matt (shhh) I just put on frosting from the white fluff canister. He would never eat the peanut butter frosting and I didn't have time to make white fluff for just 2 cupcakes. He was MORE than happy with what he got.

I'm Blessed!

Once again I am joining the I'm Blessed party with Gretchen over at He Sows, She Sews. If you are blessed, which I know you are, come join me there :)

This may not sound profound or deep BUT I'm Blessed! Today is the start of my Stay at Home Mom career! I am so thrilled that Jon and I have made this decision. Now I get to stay home with these loves and watch them do a lot more of this.

Well I want to start strong, so I'm logging off and going to do a few THOUSAND loads of laundry to catch up from the whirl wind last few weeks I've had :)
